O události
On Friday, February 7, 2020, 75 years will pass since the execution of Count Zdeňko Bořek-Dohalský: a nobleman by origin, but a democrat by mindset, journalist and follower of Masaryk's Czechoslovakia, and last but not least, a resistance fighter who made a sacrifice in the service of the ideals he believed in during the years of Nazi occupation the highest. That is why the Terezín Memorial,Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes andPilsen Philharmonic - Pilsen Philharmonic decided to commemorate this extraordinary personality of the First Republic's public events and anti-Nazi resistance, namely in the places where Dohalský's life ended prematurely.
Program:
1:30 p.m. - meeting of the participants in the area behind the so-called Prague Gate of the Small Fortress and joint transition to the former gallows, where flowers will be laid 14:00 - in the entrance hall of the Little Fortress cinema, Zdeněk Hazdra, historian and director of ÚSTR, will talk about the life story of Zdeněk Bořek-Dohalský, a musical performance will be provided by a chamber trio directed by the Pilsen Philharmonic, composed of: Jana Pavlíčková (flute), Lukáš Pavlíček (oboe) and Lenka Kavalová - director of the Pilsen Philharmonic (cello) 15:30 - end of memory The commemorative event will take place with the participation of representatives of the Dohalský family (promised).
The patronage of the event was taken over by Ladislav Chlupáč - senator of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic for Litoměřice and Slánské, mayor of the city of Litoměřice; Martin Baxa - member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and mayor of the city of Pilsen and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
